With these capabilities, 7Layers can support emerging technologies including VoLTE (voice over LTE), IMS (IP multimedia subsystem), RCS (rich communications services), E911 over IMS, LTE AGNSS (assisted GNSS), OTDOA (observed time difference of arrival) and eCID. The Rohde & Schwarz test platforms are also software upgradeable to support carrier aggregation and other LTE Release 10+ features that are increasingly important to 7Layers customers.

Not only are next generation mobile devices becoming more powerful, they are also growing in complexity in the way they support features that many take for granted, such as making a voice call.
