AAU Takes New Heights With VERT

ORLANDO, Fla., June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — VERT's wearable jump device promises more height as the new official wearable jump technology of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). VERT will be incorporated into the 2014 AAU Girls' Junior National Volleyball Championships from June 16-24 in Orlando, Fla. at the ESPN Wide World of Sports and the Orange County Convention Center.

VERTcast on Jumbotron

AAU's partnership with VERT will feature two exciting aspects at this year's National Volleyball Championships.  Participants can experience an interactive VERT court throughout the entire tournament and a live VERTcast on the Jumbotron during the championship games, which will be held on June 20, 23 and 24.  The championship games will also be aired on ESPN3.

"We are thrilled to be a part of the world's largest youth athletic event," said Martin Matak, founder of Mayfonk Athletic.  "It's exciting to see our VERT technology contribute to the sport of volleyball."

Players will be able to find out how high their vertical jump is on the VERT interactive court and parents and coaches can see the results in real-time on the VERT tower.  The VERT interactive court is truly the event within the event!

Athletes will also get a chance to join the 25" club while participating on the VERT interactive court.  If your vertical is over 25 inches you will receive a FREE 25" Club t-shirt while supplies last.  You just may be good enough to join the 30" Club!

Players can also win a FREE VERT device by having the highest vertical within their specific age group during the AAU event.

VERT will also be used during the championship games on June 20, 23 and 24.  Players' real-time stats from the wearable VERT technology will broadcast on the Jumbotron throughout the game.  "We are excited to bring an entirely new experience to the sport of volleyball," said Roger Goudy, AAU Volleyball National Chairman.
