LAC Group's Tyler Leshney to Present "The Curation Ecosystem" at AMIA's Digital Asset Symposium
LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — LAC Group's Tyler Leshney will present "The Curation Ecosystem" at the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) Digital Asset Symposium today.
His presentation will focus on the future of information curation in an era of exponential growth in media assets and why value creation in an age of exponential growth of digital film assets and why human curators are necessary to create value.
"Digital archives—especially in moving images where there's seemingly no limit to the number of options for creation and distribution—is one of those unique markets where value isn't driven by a traditional scarcity model. In fact, it's just the opposite," Mr. Leshney said.
