ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Nominees Matt Damon, Morena Baccarin, Alec Baldwin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Clare Danes and Kerry Washington are not the only hotties going to the Emmy Awards. Spicy truffles from Cocopotamus will be heating things up as well. That's because handmade dark chocolate fudge and caramel truffles from this Albuquerque-based artisanal chocolatier have been chosen for the Celebrity Gift – also known as the coveted "swag bag" – for the 65th Emmy Awards.

It's not the first time the stars will be getting Cocopotamus; the truffles were chosen for the Academy Awards in 2011 and 2013 and the Golden Globe Awards in 2012.  "It is always a huge honor, and so much fun for us," says Cocopotamus by NYDC Chocolate CEO Maxwell Sinclair. "We love working with the celebrities to support important charities. As a small family-owned business, we know what it's like to be the underdog." As it has in the past, Cocopotamus will be taking the handmade truffles live to the celebrities for a charity event at The W Hotel in Beverly Hills during the two days preceding the actual Emmy Awards.

Emmy nominees for this year who have enjoyed Cocopotamus before include Glee's Jane Lynch and Dot-Marie Jones, Mad Men's Robert Morse, The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, and Homeland's Damian Lewis and Morena Baccarin.

"We'll definitely take our spicy truffles for the Emmy's," says Sinclair. "Hottie with red chile and Mexican canela cinnamon was a big hit at the Oscars and the Golden Globes, and the stars will also get our Hulk caramel truffle infused with Hatch green chile."

The charities supported this year include Guard-a-Heart, which promotes healthy lifestyle, Lambda Legal, which works for gay and lesbian rights, and Dream Center, which fights inner-city poverty. Cocopotamus has previously supported the Girl Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, educational initiatives and other charities.

People often ask Cocopotamus which stars they are most hoping to meet. "This year it is definitely Tina Fey," says Cocopotamus Master Chocolatier Ally Sinclair says. "I think Liz Lemon was made for our Lemon Shiver," she adds, referring to the Cocopotamus dark chocolate fudge truffle infused with organic California lemon.
