Amazon Best-Selling Author Featured on InspireMeToday.Com

EDEN PRAIRE, Minn., June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — On June 9th best-selling author Ken Thurber's inspirational message and five-point plan was featured on the InspireMeToday.Com home page. Inspire Me Today features the inspiration of a new luminary every day. In the past this has included such luminaries as Sir Richard Branson, Guy Laliberte, Seth Godin, Neale Donald Walsch, and Marci Shimoff. Gail Lynne Goodwin, the founder of Inspire Me Today, got the inspiration for the site after touring the Persian Gulf. The spark was a chance meeting with a soldier named Jesse who said that he listened to his iPod to combat the isolation he felt while living in a ditch by himself on a lonely outpost in Iraq. He also mentioned that he was always looking for good inspiration. That led her to start Inspire Me in 2008. Her goal: provide great inspiration from a different luminary every day.

Do NOT Invent  –  Disruption & Reinvention  is the Key
According to the author, Ken Thurber, his most recent book –Do NOT Invent-  had its genesis in unresolved questions and comments from his first book – Big Wave Surfing – Extreme Technology Development, Management, Marketing and Investing.

Thurber says, "I found that my first book raised many questions, such as – how do people innovate and how do you define innovation." According to Thurber, "I think part of the appeal of Do NOT Invent is American's urge to reinvent their companies, their products, themselves.  People realized in this last downturn that survival equals continual reinvention.

That's why many of the case studies in the book concern companies and people from Starbucks to Apple to Jobs and Picasso. People and companies  who continually reinvented themselves. It's a process. And you have to understand the process of What If? Who Cares? and finally How Big is My Market?"

This book is a must read. It's for entrepreneurs, businesspeople and individuals who want to understand not only product reinvention, but why it's important to keep reinventing yourself as well. As the author says, "If you can disrupt the status quo you have the opportunity to create wealth and prosperity for you and your associates. If you do not disrupt the product status quo,  rest assured someone else will."
