America's Vacation Center Executives Included in Travel Weekly's List of the '33 Most Influential People in the Travel Industry'

Magazine recognizes Co-Presidents for reinventing the travel agency model

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 4, 2008 — America's Vacation Center (AVC), one of the leading travel agencies in North America and beyond, today announced that Travel Weekly magazine's editors recently selected Co-Presidents Brad and Van Anderson as part of its "Club 33," which includes the 33 most influential people in the travel industry for 2007.

Travel Weekly's "Club 33" is comprised of people in the travel industry who launched innovative ideas and programs in 2007, and were so successful in implementing those ideas that the industry followed their lead. Other executives included in this list are Al Gore, former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Laureate; Peter Greenberg, Commentator; Richard Branson, Founder and Chairman of Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Group; and more.

AVC's (http://www.AmericasVacationCenter.com) Co-Presidents were selected for this elite list based on their contributions to the travel agent community and travelers worldwide, by helping to shape the way travel agencies do business with consumers in this day-and-age. One of the defining ideas that positioned the Andersons for "Club 33" was the development of Agent Power(TM), a patent-pending, proprietary Web-based software that provides AVC clients with exclusive rates on vacations and an unparalleled level of customer service.

"The Anderson brothers have created a formula unlike any other travel agency in the industry today," said Arnie Weissmann, Editor-in-Chief of Travel Weekly. "They have definitely caught the attention of the leading cruise lines and tour operators worldwide, and it will be interesting to see what 2008 will bring."

This award marks another milestone for the company, which also received the "Partner of the Year: Revenue Increase Year over Year" award from Royal Caribbean International in 2007; "Travel Agents of the Year" award from Travel Trade magazine in 2007; "Best Agency Success Story" Trendsetter Award from TravelAge West magazine in 2007; and "Travel Agency of the Year" by Royal Caribbean International, Oceania Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line in 2006.
