Located in Atlanta, Ga., Intown Jewish Preschool offers a progressive approach to education, intermixing Reggio-inspired techniques and Jewish cultural education to nurture each child's learning style and to promote individual growth. The Reggio Emilia model of education emphasizes the principles of respect, responsibility and community; fostering exploration and discovery based on each child's individual interests and abilities.

"Our school is based on a unique blend of Reggio-Emilia based philosophy integrated with Jewish cultural education, ensuring our children receive the best age-appropriate learning. Our group of hand-picked staff are some of the best educators in Atlanta and ensure each child gets the love and attention so important to an early education. It is so amazing to watch the classes in action and really see the children flourish and grow over the time they are with us," said Dena Schusterman, director of IJP.

Housed in converted homes in Intown, Atlanta, IJP offers education in early childhood skills like math, science, literacy, art, pre-writing and more, mixing in Jewish topics and activities related to the time of year.  Other daily activities include outdoor time, dramatic play and circle time featuring songs and storytelling. In addition, IJP offers special activities and afterschool enrichment programs including drama, art and ballet. Intown Jewish Preschool also offers a summer camp so kids can extend their learning and enrichment activities beyond the traditional school year.

The school tours help parents understand more about IJP's unique environment and its progressive approach to learning. "Many parents have questions and concerns about the type of education their young children will receive. Our tours help parents feel confident that Intown Jewish Preschool is a place where their child will blossom in the warm and nurturing environment so iconic to IJP," said Schusterman.

In autumn 2014, IJP will make early-childhood education even more convenient for working parents by expanding its hours to a 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. schedule.
