Memory Training Centers of America Company Profile
Since 2001, Memory Training Centers of America (MTCA) has provided cognitive evaluation and treatment services to individuals suffering from memory loss, as well as those who wish to prevent memory impairment. Our clinical and preventive programs have served thousands of individuals living in Assisted Living and Independent Senior Living Communities throughout the tri-state area. MTCA's first Memory Center was established in 2001 as a hospital-affiliated out-patient Center in Brooklyn, NY. In 2004 a new outpatient Memory Center was developed in Forest Hills, serving NYC and Nassau County. In 2009, an outpatient Center was opened in White Plains, NY, serving Westchester County. Most recently, in 2010 MTCA has expanded its operations to Florida and Wisconsin and now operates Centers in more than 35 Assisted Living Communities nationwide. MTCA operates as a subsidiary of the Alzheimer's Treatment and Memory Training Centers of America (ATMTCA.) During the past decade, scientific research and clinical work has produced an explosion of information which has guided the development of MTCA interventions to help individuals suffering from medical conditions such as early stage Alzheimer's disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment. Additionally, we have learned that not only can the progression of such medical conditions be slowed and stabilized, but that memory loss can be prevented by the use of cognitive habilitative techniques, such as those provided by MTCA. MTCA is the largest national provider of professional memory training services, an intervention that will be discussed further.
