KOLDING, Denmark, Dec. 31, 2010 — Bestnet Europe Ltd. announced today that they have been installing new baling equipment at their worldwide Netprotect® production sites. Bestnet, a leader in the fight against malaria, is constantly looking for new ways to save their customers money, thereby allowing more money to be spent on saving lives.
This new equipment has allowed Bestnet to reduce Netprotect® Long Lasting Insecticide Incorporated Mosquito Net (LLIN) bale sizes by up to 15%. "Decreased bale sizes allow more bales to be placed in shipping containers and can significantly reduce freight costs," said Bestnet Logistic Manager Johnny Mortensen.
According to Torben Holm Larsen, Bestnet Director of Production and Supply Chain, "The first site to employ this new equipment was our manufacturing facility in China. The new equipment is just one of the many ways that Bestnet is creatively redesigning our manufacturing processes to be proactive in regard to our customers' need to stretch their funding further to meet the Millennium Development Goals."
