The 6th MIM Pan- African Malaria Conference is a scientific malaria conference that will bring together over 1,500 leading researchers, activists, health workers, public health officials and policymakers. Bringing together global leaders in malaria research, advocacy and policy, the MIM Pan-African conferences have enabled key malaria stakeholders to provide updates on their research and create strategic and effective partnerships in the ongoing battle against the disease. They also offer the global health community a unique opportunity to evaluate the malaria epidemic from a variety of perspectives and to address MIM's overarching goal of research capacity building in Africa.

Bestnet will be located in Stand No. 26, where they will be exhibiting Netprotect® LLINs, the world's third largest brand of World Health Organization (WHOPES) recommended LLINs for the control of vector-borne diseases. "We are excited about the launch of the 'Happy Net' at the MIM conference," said Trine Angeline Sig, Managing Director of Bestnet. The "Happy Net" is a customized logo net that is imprinted with specially designed artwork that was made available for LLIN printing by the famous Danish artist, Poul Pava.

"The 'Happy Net' is Bestnet's latest product innovation to our line of durable, affordable and effective Netprotect LLINs," continued Sig. Studies have shown that there is an increase in user compliance when attractive colors, highly colored striped nets, and LLINs imprinted with logo, messages or beautiful designs are made available. Sig continues, "There is a good reason why we have named it the 'Happy Net.' It brings an instant smile to the face of anyone who sees the beautiful artwork that Poul Pava provided us with."

Poul Pava has been painting for over 20 years. His designs feature distinctive shapes that Pava describes as representative of "the child in all of us." Pava is also known for his involvement in several humanitarian efforts in sub-Saharan Africa.
