Steffani Adaska, a trained chef from the Culinary Institute of America, is founder of AdasKo Enterprises and the inventor of the GrateMate™. As a small business owner Steffani is responsible for pretty much everything, including product development, sales, marketing, taking out the trash and vacuuming the offices. A serial entrepreneur, Steffani is dedicated to producing products that are made in the USA. In addition to running AdasKo Enterprises, she runs several other businesses from her North Conway office. She is also the Director of A Taste of the Mountains Cooking School at the Bernerhof Inn.

"Crowdfunding is a great tool for startups. It helps people launch a venture by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people via the Internet. Crowdfunding is both extremely popular, and effective," said Steffani. "It's also a cool way to foster awareness, create momentum and rally people around an idea. Together, the creators and backers make things happen."

AdasKo is looking to raise $105,000 to get this product off the ground. The money will be used to pay for the costly steel molds, and the first production run. It will also help fund the marketing of the GrateMate™ at industry trade shows. For those donating there are some great perks including first releases of the GrateMate™, the opportunity to field test the prototype and provide design input, free classes atA Taste of the Mountains Cooking School, and a five-course gourmet dinner for you and 20 friends, prepared and served by Chef Steffani in the comfort of your own home.

"Our goals for AdasKo Enterprises go far beyond just creating our first product. Yes, we want to get the GrateMate™ on shelves and create top-quality kitchen products," continues Steffani, "but more importantly, we strive to promote 'Patriotic Spending' by having all of our products made here in the United States versus overseas. We will do what we can to recycle American dollars by promoting USA-MADE purchases and create jobs. I would be ecstatic to become a significant economic driver in the State of New Hampshire."
