Burger Lounge Opens Lucky 13, Newest Location, in Larchmont

LA's Famed Grass-Fed Burger Joint Features Expanded Menu & More than Just Burgers.

LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — "Let's open a burger restaurant in a space where a burger restaurant just failed." Great idea!  At least Burger Lounge thinks so.  They plan to open their newest outpost July 17 in Larchmont Village at 217 N. Larchmont Ave., the former home of Hamburger Hamlet XPress.  This is their 13th location since opening in La Jolla, 2007.

The "Burger you feel good about eating" brand believes they have what it takes to make this location a success.  At the core of Burger Lounge is their commitment to utilizing sustainable and organic ingredients like single source American grass-fed beef.

"Establishing great partnerships with grass-fed beef suppliers has been part of our model since the beginning," says J. Dean Loring, co-founder of Burger Lounge.  "We work closely with our growers.  We source from two family ranches that have been around for a very long time.  We know a lot about these animals, including where and how they are raised, what they eat, and how they are treated.  It is a humane process, and we think that matters."

Burger Lounge is a fun and lively community gathering place with a simple, premium quality menu that appeals to health conscious diners, vegetarians, salad lovers, and those simply "hankering for a great hamburger."

Guests in Larchmont will be among the first to try two new salads that will be available at all locations in the coming weeks. The Organic Buckwheat Salad and Romaine-Kale Caesar join the guest favorite Fresh Vegetable Salad completing a trio of whole food plates with real health benefits.  Salads, lightly tossed with house-made dressings, are available in full or small portions.

The Crispy Chicken Sandwich, featuring organic chicken breast, avocado vinaigrette, roasted tomato, chayote-jicama slaw, and cojita cheese, is available for a limited time.

The Larchmont Lounge also debuts a revised beverage suite.  Batch Craft Soda, House-Made Lavender Mint Lemonade, Organic Brewed Iced Teas, and Strawberry Shakes will accompany the selection that includes bottled sodas.  Beer, and wine is anticipated in the coming months.

Burgers: "Everyone has their own take on the American classic. We think it is simplicity, exceptional ingredients and the juxtaposition of texture, temperature and flavor," says Loring.

The signature Lounge Burger highlights fresh American grass-fed beef seared on a flat grill, creating a caramelized crust and warm pink center.  It is topped with organic cheese and sits on a bed of cool lettuce, tomato, onion, and house-made Thousand Island.

"The Classic" pays homage to the American favorite "Quarter Pounder," served with grass-fed beef, organic American cheese, organic ketchup, mustard, pickles, and chopped onion. The Free- Range Turkey Burger, made with Shelton's Farm Turkey and lots of fresh Basil, Organic Quinoa Veggie Burger, and Seared Albacore Sandwich offer non-beef eaters thoughtful options.

Simple Choices: Opt for burgers on the House Lounge Bun made with a proprietary blend of organic whole wheat and unbleached white flour with a hint of Blackstrap molasses. Paleo-inclined?  Then wrap it in crisp lettuce leaf or choose a gluten-free bun.  Burgers are also offered in a quarter pound version for a lighter appetite.

Guests can enjoy their burgers with fresh cut French Fries and house-made Onion Rings or go lighter with a "Nice Little Side Salad," featuring Romaine, Spinach, Arugula, Grilled Corn, Red Onion, and Carrot lightly tossed with house-made lemon Basil dressing.

Finally, shake things up with a hand dipped Lounge Shake (chocolate, vanilla or strawberry), an over-the-top Lounge Float, featuring the house-recipe Dreyer's Ice Cream, or an array of House-Made Desserts.

The Larchmont Village location is located at 217 North Larchmont Ave., Los Angeles and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Burger Lounge does not accept reservations but offers walk-in, take-out, and online ordering.
