Best-Selling iPhone App Now Available as a Desktop Widget

PHILADELPHIA, July 6, 2011 — Chaikin Stock Research, creator of a suite of stock tools that empower individuals to make better investment decisions, including its popular iPhone app, announces Chaikin Power Tools for Desktop.

The free desktop widget brings the core functionality of the highly ranked iPhone app to the desktop, empowering investors with sophisticated, easily understood decision-making tools previously available only to Wall Street professionals.

In the small footprint widget, investors can create a dynamically updating watchlist of stocks, and with one click can immediately access Intraday and Historical charts, Fundamental data, Chaikin Power Gauge ratings, and live Trading.

The Chaikin Power Gauge rating is based on a proprietary, 20-factor model that analyzes complex financial data and distills it into easily understood green/red displays. Green is bullish. Red is bearish. The model was created by Marc Chaikin, a recognized expert in developing computerized stock selection models for professional money managers and individual investors. It has been independently back-tested and proven successful at identifying stocks which will outperform or underperform the market over the next 3-6 months, and is updated daily.

Investors can execute stock trades in seconds from the widget through Chaikin's online trading partner, optionsXpress. The widget's ease of use and seamless online trading saves time by eliminating the need to log on with a browser.

"The widget is designed to bring critical, actionable information to individual investors on their desktop," said Marc Chaikin, CEO of Chaikin Stock Research. "Our Power Gauge rating simplifies an investor's buy/sell decision so they can make a decision and trade in seconds. As Barron's states: It's free and it's fun. Check it out."

The desktop widget runs on Mac OS X or Windows and can be downloaded for free from the Chaikin Power Tools website.
