CMROI Calculator Launched in Prosci Portal for Change Practitioners

Cloud-Based Calculator Computes Quantifiable Value of Change Management

LOVELAND, Colo., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The CMROI Calculator tool is now available as a subscription in the Prosci Portal, an online workbench for change management professionals. Based on years of research, the Calculator allows change practitioners to break down the portions of a project's objectives and benefits that depend on the people side of change. In order to achieve the expected benefits of a change initiative, it is imperative for organizations to understand how much of the initiative relies on adoption and usage of the solution. This understanding allows users to then resource and plan appropriately for what drives adoption and usage; change management.

"Not only do we offer the CMROI Calculator as a tool externally, but we often use it ourselves when helping our clients," says Prosci account manager Susie Patterson. "It's incredibly valuable when someone doesn't know if their project needs change management or if they are trying to make the case for change management to others."

When running the calculation, the CMROI Calculator carefully guides users so that even those not comfortable with numbers can discover and present the ROI of change management. The Calculator:

  • Evaluates changes with single or multiple benefits and weighs the relative contribution of multiple benefits
  • Calculates the percentage of a project's benefits and objectives that depend on adoption and usage
  • Provides scenario analytics to understand what portion of the change's benefits you can expect to capture with no change management, excellent change management, or somewhere in between
  • Generates graphs and reports to visualize results
