BOSTON, Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Commonwealth Psychology Associates (CPA), a leader in behavioral healthcare, has been named a Top Place to Work in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe. A first-time participant in the survey, CPA catapulted to a Top 10 position among 127 participating small employers (50 – 99 employees). "In addition to being excited about placing highly in the survey, we were especially pleased to learn that our employees find their work meaningful and feel appreciated, highly valued and supported," said Dr. Andrea Piatt, a clinical neuropsychologist who is the founder and CEO of CPA. She added, "As an employer, that's my highest priority."

"This recognition, Dr. Piatt said, is a testament to our remarkably talented and dedicated employees who bring their A-game every day." Whether it's potlucks, friendly intra-office charitable fundraising competitions or just going the extra mile to help a colleague, CPA's team continually strives to make CPA a fun, engaging and meaningful place to work. "And, what I'm most proud of is how everyone at CPA contributes to our culture of caring about people – the core purpose of our business is to help people lead happier and healthier lives – that starts with happier employees," Dr. Piatt said.

CPA's employees listed some of their favorite things about working at CPA, which include free lunch Thursdays, casual Fridays, bowling parties, generous 401k contributions with profit sharing, continual learning opportunities, and opportunities for advancement. A notable fact about CPA is that they promote only from within; every advanced or management position has been filled by an internal employee who was promoted.

About the Survey
The Boston Globe's 2014 Top Places to Work survey, conducted by employee survey firm Workplace Dynamics, measured about 73,500 individuals' responses to statements regarding six key factors related to employee happiness, including company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits. Least important factors were pay, benefits and work-life balance, with survey subjects placing much higher importance on employee appreciation, confidence and a meaningful connection to the work. Workplace Dynamics also found that of all the cities surveyed, employees in Boston were most enthusiastic about their companies.
