About the Health Care Center for the Homeless
The Health Care Center for the Homeless (HCCH) was founded in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. According to their mission statement the health center's goal is "to provide quality health care services that improve the lives of the homeless and medically indigent people of our community." With the help of grants, donations and support from the community, the HCCH has grown into three locations and is able to provide a variety of medical services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect, "One Community, One Health Center."
In an effort to increase the funds available to support their many health programs, the HCCH hosts a charity event each year called the Heart to Heart Gala. The 6th annual gala took place in early November this year and the turnout was even bigger than anticipated.
