New Dating Site We First Met Encourages Singles to Start Conversations, Post Date Ideas, and Organize Groups and Events

We First Met facilitates the transition from a digital experience to a personal relationship

RESTON, Va., March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — We First Met has launched a unique online dating site encouraging users to organize groups and host events while broadcasting real-time conversation starters, posting date ideas, and sharing photos of their favorite interests. The groups and events, which are free to create, provide flexible options for singles to meet up in person with others who share their passions.

"Most dating websites only focus on profiles. You search through profiles and send messages. It feels unnatural; as if you are sorting through resumes," said Founder, Enoch Lee. "We First Met gets singles talking without having to guess what to talk about. Users can meet other singles individually by posting date ideas, or in a group setting by organizing and joining events."

Events can be organized according to different preferences and by certain age groups for men and women. Users can also share their intentions by displaying an indicator revealing whether they are looking to date, not looking, are undecided, or just looking for friends.

We First Met implements a two-way search system that allows users to look for people who are simultaneously looking for them. We First Met recommends users who are most likely to respond to you based on how long they viewed your profile, their interactions with your profile, and their search preferences.

"We built We First Met to improve every aspect of online dating and to help singles enjoy a higher rate of success," said Founder, Enoch Lee. "A lot of other dating sites show you information that doesn't necessarily translate into getting more dates. For example, just because someone views your profile, it doesn't mean they are actually interested. We First Met will not only show you who viewed your profile, but also how interested they were with your profile."

We First Met is free to join and uses a pay-as-you-go points system instead of a monthly subscription model. Points are used to send the initial message to someone and to RSVP for events. When you receive a message, you can always reply for free. During the website launch, We First Met will be giving away hundreds of free points to new users.
