The PRCRP award mechanisms include a Career Development Award, an Idea Award with Special Focus, and a Translational Team Science Award. Each award mechanism requires a pre-proposal submission by June 8, 2016. Pre-proposals will be reviewed and then selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application, which is due by September 13, 2016. More information about the PRCRP can be found at http://cdmrp.army.mil/.

The PRCRP is tasked with funding innovative basic, applied, and translational research that will support Service members, their families, and the American public. The mission of the PRCRP is to successfully promote high impact research, and their vision is to improve the quality of life by decreasing the impact of cancer.

For the fourth consecutive year, DDF advocates were on Capitol Hill this February as part of DDF's Annual Advocacy Day to ask members of Congress to support an increased federal investment for stomach cancer research and to again include stomach cancer in the PRCRP. More information about DDF and its Advocacy Day event can be found at www.DebbiesDream.org.
