Deep Web Technologies Offers Exclusive Pricing to WebFeat Customers

SANTA FE, N.M., Dec. 16, 2010 — Deep Web Technologies (DWT) (http://www.deepwebtech.com) has developed a special replacement package for customers that have purchased Serial Solutions' WebFeat product. Organizations using the WebFeat application that switch to DWT's Explorit Research Accelerator (Explorit) will save over sixty percent off the price of Explorit. The promotion is timely because according to a Consortium of Academic Research Libraries (CARLI) (http://www.carli.illinois.edu) news article on 10/23/2009, "Serials Solutions is the current provider of WebFeat and is launching a new version of their primary federated search product, 360 Search. Additionally, the WebFeat product is scheduled to be completely discontinued by the end of calendar 2010." WebFeat is being phased out by new owner, Serial Solutions, requiring all customers, as their support contracts expire, to select another of Serial Solutions products, or to switch search providers.

Deep Web's Explorit product enables customers that are currently using WebFeat to search 50+ academic sources simultaneously, and includes features such as alerts, the ability to build custom search pages on the fly, advanced clustering, and a customized interface. DWT President and CTO, Abe Lederman said, "With the latest enhancements to our product, Deep Web Technologies is raising the bar on federated search systems. Unlike our competition, we focus exclusively on federated search products, enabling us to offer a robust solution at a far better price."

With high-profile clients such as Stanford, George Mason University, and the Department of Energy, DWT continues to establish itself as the leading source for federated search solutions.

The WebFeat replacement promotion will last through the first quarter of 2011 as Serial Solutions continues to phase out WebFeat.
