Integration further expands power monitoring and control capabilities of Device42 data center management software
NEW HAVEN, Conn., Aug. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Device42, Inc., a leading global provider of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software, today announced it has completed its software integration with Enlogic Systems, LLC's intelligent data center Power Distribution Units (PDUs). The integration provides data center managers with accurate energy measurement data needed to efficiently utilize power resources, make informed capacity planning decisions, improve uptime, and drive green data center initiatives that can conserve power and reduce energy costs.
Enlogic's intelligent PDUs monitor power conditions within the data center environment, identifying threats from circuit overloads, and electrical conditions that might otherwise place critical IT computing operations at risk.
Expanding Device42's already comprehensive data center infrastructure management capabilities, the Enlogic integration enables Device42 users to perform outlet-level auto-discovery of Enlogic PDUs, access historical and real-time power usage data, and set power monitoring alerts. In addition to comprehensive monitoring, reporting, and alerting, Device42 customers can also control the outlets on intelligent PDUs all from within a single, centralized Device42 software console.
