U.S. Made "Dollar Wallet" Blows Past Funding Goal on Kickstarter

The Dollar Wallet is a simple, functional, affordable, and well-designed wallet that is made in the U.S.A. The Dollar Wallet starts at just $1.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Entrepreneur and small-business owner Kyle J. Britt sees the challenge. Production in America is in decline, more and more products are being made overseas, taking with them American jobs. As a result, the products that are still being produced here are often more expensive.

"The Dollar Wallet is the answer to the desire for an American-made, thin-profile, minimalistic wallet that doesn't charge a premium for simplicity," Britt says. "In the end, I created my ideal wallet, and I made it here in North Carolina, in a way that is affordable for everyone."

That idea has connected with backers on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter, where The Dollar Wallet has raised over 120% of Britt's initial goal of $10,500 in just six days of funding. Funding ends on September 11, 2013 and Britt would like to see even more people able to get a hold of the low-cost, domestic wallet during this campaign.

"The Dollar Wallet was born here and is manufactured here, and with all the options available to customize it, I think there's a Dollar Wallet for everyone," Britt says. "Our next goal is to hit $35,000 raised so we can utilize even higher grade materials and equipment and change the face of low-cost production in the United States."

The Dollar Wallet costs $1. It is made from high-quality, American-made fiberboard and non-roll elastic. It's durable, reliable, and fits up to 8-10 credit cards and some cash.

The Dollar Wallet Plus is an upgrade in both quality and customization. It is available starting at $4 and is made of high-quality American-sourced, aircraft-grade plywood and the same non-roll elastic available to upgrade with multiple colors and patterns.
