Dominican University and Bisk Education Offer Two Scholarships for 100% Online Master's in Education Program

Deadline to apply for scholarships is April 15, 2012

TAMPA, Fla., April 5, 2012 — Dominican University, a U.S. News & World Report-ranked and regionally accredited university, is partnering with University Alliance, a division of Bisk Education, to award two Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarships for the Summer I, 2012 session. These scholarships for teachers, valued at $5,580 each (or $465 per course), will pay 33% of the current tuition price for 2011-12, enabling outstanding educators to earn a Master of Arts in Education degree in Reading, Elementary Education, or English as a Second Language.

This scholarship opportunity, coupled with the convenience of 100% online virtual classrooms, makes earning a Dominican master's degree in education affordable and flexible — the perfect combination for today's busy working teachers. Students will gain essential, tangible and actionable skills they can incorporate into their classrooms right away.

"Dominican University is proud to honor gifted educators and empower them to reach their maximum potential, which is exactly what they do for their own students in K-12 classrooms every day," said Colleen Reardon, Ed.D., Dean of the School of Education.

Dominican's online courses are powered by University Alliance technology that features video-based lectures students can access 24/7. Students have the freedom to study at their own pace with no campus visits required.

Successful scholarship candidates must be first-time applicants to any of Dominican's three online master's in education programs and must be able to demonstrate the positive impact they have had on the lives of others over the course of their teaching careers.

The April 15th application deadline is quickly approaching. For more information, contact a program representative at 800-441-5408 or visit http://www.dominicanu.com/graduate-scholarships-teachers/ to download the scholarship application today.
