ADHD-afflicted racing role model has sights set on IndyCar, seeks support
NEW YORK, March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — New York City's own Luca Forgeois hopes to raise awareness and research funds for ADHD, while pursuing his dream of becoming an IndyCar driver, by seeking support to join the 2015 IndyLights series. The 19-year-old racer is already a rising star, winning the USF2000 championship in 2011, and is now inviting his fans in NYC and nationwide to use the crowdsourcing donations site RocketHub and help him reach a goal of $25,000.

Fans can easily contribute as they wish using RocketHub's online donations platform. Forgeois and his team are offering exclusive perks to contributors, including autographed racing cards and a top prize of an all-expenses-paid trip with VIP track and pit access at an IndyLights series race in 2015.
With his fans' help, Forgeois can realize his dream of becoming a nationally acclaimed racer, and help inspire young people with ADHD or other learning conditions so that they, too, can achieve whatever they aim to in life.
Growing up with ADHD, Forgeois has overcome much to get where he is today, and has no plans of slowing down. A resourceful child, he taught himself how to deal with his own learning difficulties, and created his own way of navigating a schooling system that wasn't designed for children like him. He saw his setbacks as motivators, not obstacles.
With the help of a new school, supportive teachers and parents, and his own tenacity, Forgeois graduated high school with honors last spring and became an ADHD Champion spokesperson for CHADD (a national foundation for Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). He currently trains six days a week, blogs healthy lifestyle tips and holds regular events in and around NYC where he meets fans, spreads ADHD awareness and shares his passion for racing.
