Global Innovators at the Forefront of Technology and Health Convene at "The Atlantic Meets the Pacific," October 2-4, 2013

WASHINGTON and LA JOLLA, Calif., June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The game-changing ideas at the horizon of technology, the sciences, and health are the focus of the third annual "The Atlantic Meets the Pacific," a major national forum to be held October 2-4, 2013, in San Diego. Presented by The Atlantic and the University of California, San Diego, the program will explore the people—and places—working at the cutting-edge of innovation in health technologies.

Many of the event's conversations will take place at the Scripps Seaside Forum, an ocean-front conference center located in the heart of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. The event will include a day at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology's (Calit2), and behind-the-scenes tours at Scripps Oceanography, the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, Sanford Consortium, The Scripps Research Institute, and the La Jolla Playhouse, bringing attendees and some of the world's most creative scientists and artists together.
