Mark Hellmann Regouby, Founder of the company said, "Both of our winners have incredible stories of personal challenge and triumph. That's what the Running of the Bulls is all about — people testing their limits and pushing through fear. Noble and Liza will be able to relate to that and help us tell great stories about what happens on the streets of Pamplona." They are to be welcomed to Pamplona through a series of meetings with the Mayor, city leaders, famous bull runners and fiesta-goers. Noble, who won the Opening Ceremonies package will be in Pamplona from July 5th through 10th, while Liza will participate in the Closing Ceremonies package, July 10th-15th.
Both winners were notified live in a Google Hangout (see attached photos), where they immediately accepted the invitation. Discussing her win, Liza remarked, "I thought winning Google's #ifihadglass contest would be the highlight of my year, but now I get to return to Spain and use Google Glass to give a first-person view of the Running of the Bulls." Liza had previously walked the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route across northern Spain as a way to celebrate her recovery from a motorcycle accident that left her wheelchair-bound for two years. "Liza has already demonstrated more courage than it takes to run with the bulls. She embraces life in a new way after the accident — which gives her a unique perspective on what's important," said Hellmann Regouby.
Noble, an avid runner and competitor, also dealt with his share of adversity. After overcoming a debilitating disease two years ago, he has decided to celebrate his new-found lease on life by going on one epic adventure a month. Noble said, "I've been looking for ways to see the beauty around me and embrace life. Running with the bulls in Pamplona will be the epic adventure of a lifetime." Commenting on Noble's willingness to run, Maitane Onrubia, the company's Country Director – Spain, said, "As a native of Pamplona, it is a privilege to introduce people to the fiesta's pageantry, beauty and cultural history. Noble's decision to run with the bulls means he gets to experience every side of the fiestas de San Fermin." A teaser trailer about Noble is available at http://youtu.be/OU1588pqWqg
