"As experts in energy compliance in New York, we at iAG Energy constantly work to stay abreast of aspects of the Greener, Greater Buildings Plan. In order to make sure our clients are saving resources via energy-efficiency as well as complying with the law, we keep them informed on any changes to the law itself, and tailor our services to meet both goals. We're here to help our clientele comply with both Local Law 87 and Local Law 84 in a timely, cost-effective fashion," said Joel Gabay, CEO of the energy compliance firm.

Under LL87 New York buildings 50,000 square feet or larger are required to undergo periodic energy audits and retro-commissioning that would result in energy efficiency retrofits. The desired end result is major cost and energy savings, while giving building owners a more comprehensive understanding of the performance of their buildings.

Owners unsure of GGBP requirements can find a list compiled by the city, which identifies all buildings required to comply with LL87 this year. Properties listed must submit energy audits and retro-commissioning data by December 31st, 2013 and every ten years thereafter. Those who fail to comply will receive a Class 2 violation and a penalty of $3,000 for the first year. Continued failure to submit will result in additional violations on an annual basis of $5,000 for each subsequent year.

Taking this upcoming deadline into account, iAG Energy is now offering expedient energy audits and retro-commissioning services to help building managers meet the established LL87 deadline. The experienced energy-efficiency firm guarantees immediate 100% compliance.
