Institute of Logistical Management (ILM) Poised to Deliver Meaningful 21st Century Education to People in Far-Reaching Markets And Geographies

ILM Announces Tuition Reduction for all Certification Courses

BURLINGTON, N.J., Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Today the Institute of Logistical Management (ILM) is lowering its tuition to $400 per course for all undergraduate courses leading to the Certified Logistics Practitioner (CLP) Certification. The CLP is four core undergraduate courses and two elective courses that help prepare students to compete for transportation and logistics jobs and promotions.

"As the economy slowly improves folks need a competitive edge to take advantage of emerging opportunities. Our CLP Certification provides knowledge and tools designed to provide real value in logistical operations, making certification holders true assets to firms with logistically oriented activities," said Frank Breslin, Dean at ILM and a leader in transportation and logistics markets for over 40 years. "I talk to current and past students all the time, and they consistently tell me how much value they place in their education from ILM."

The logistics industry in the US tops $1 Trillion dollars annually, and with global competition and global trade, supply chain and transportation activities continue to rise. Knowledge to operate and the ability to drive efficiencies into these areas benefit both companies and individuals, as well as societies in modern and developing countries. "From limes to laptops, its logistics," noted Jay Brennan, CEO at ILM. "If you stop for a moment and think about it, pretty much everything gets put on a truck at some point. That's logistics. Even e-commerce and digital goods start out on trucks, the infrastructure and computer hardware have to get to the data centers somehow."

"We gave it a considerable amount of thought," continued CEO Brennan, "and reducing the tuition costs just made real social sense. If we can get ourselves better educated as a society we can start to take advantage of our own inherent knowledge, which will lead to economic and market improvements."

"You can't have the lowest tuition in North America for your MBA program and not address the cost of your undergraduate courses and the value the CLP Certification delivers to people and firms."  Dr. David Lady, ILM Provost observed: "Between the excellent existing practitioner courses and the new graduate MBA program (www.ilm.edu/mba), ILM is now positioned to deliver meaningful cost effective 21st century education to people in wide reaching markets and geographies."
