International Coach Federation Launches Enhanced Research Portal

Upgrades include improved interface, stream view and additional entries.

LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Joel DiGirolamo, Director of Coaching Science for the International Coach Federation (ICF), unveiled ICF's enhanced Research Portal September 18, 2015, during the organization's Advance 2015: Science of Coaching event.

The portal is located at researchportal.coachfederation.org.

The upgraded ICF Research Portal contains entries for more than 2,000 articles, case studies and reports about coaching and related topics. The redesigned interface includes a stream view that enables users to view resources in relation to one another by showing links to cited sources housed in the portal and to entries where a resource is cited.

"Coaches can become more effective by integrating research into their practice. We've designed the new ICF Research Portal so coach practitioners as well as academics can easily access pertinent research by topic and through references within each document," DiGirolamo said.

The upgraded Research Portal is the latest example of ICF's ongoing commitment to advancing the coaching industry by connecting practitioners and researchers with credible research on the science of coaching.

"ICF prides itself on being the most relevant professional coaching organization. To this end, providing credible research on the science of coaching is one of our strategic goals. The launch of the upgraded Research Portal is an important step toward achieving this goal," ICF CEO/Executive Director Magdalena Mook said. "The portal's intuitive search interface and unique stream view function position it as an attractive, useful research tool."
