International Coach Federation Opens Nominations for 2014 International Prism Award

ICF Prism Award program honors outstanding organizational coaching programs from around the globe

LEXINGTON, Ky., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The International Coach Federation (ICF) has opened nominations for the 2014 ICF International Prism Award at Coachfederation.org/prism. The Prism Award honors outstanding organizational coaching programs that fulfill rigorous professional standards, address key strategic goals, shape organizational culture, and yield discernible and measureable positive impacts.

To be eligible for a 2014 International Prism Award, an organization must be nominated by an ICF Credential-holder who has participated in the coaching initiative as an internal or external coach. The 2014 nomination deadline is July 31, 2014, at 5 p.m. (New York).

"Around the world, organizations of all sizes and across all sectors have discovered the power of coaching to shift corporate culture from command and control to collaboration and creativity," said ICF Master Certified Coach and 2014 Global Chair Damian Goldvarg, Ph.D. "The International Prism Award celebrates the best and brightest of these coaching programs."

The Prism Award was initially created by ICF Greater Toronto, with ICF Global adopting the concept in 2005. In 2013, ICF presented an International Prism Award to Turkey's Isikkent Schools and awarded an honorable mention to the United States' Defense Acquisition University. Past Prism Award winners include Banner Health, BC Housing, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Genentech, ibm.com North America, JOEY Restaurant Group, MCI, NASA, Roche Turkey, Solaglas Windowcare, Sysco Canada, TINE Group, United Nations Secretariat, University of Texas at Dallas and Verizon Business.

"ICF is very proud of its International Prism Award," said ICF Executive Director and CEO Magdalena Mook. "This ever-expanding program recognizes innovative organizations that have used coaching and built coaching cultures in order to develop their leaders and grow their impact. Prism Award nominees and the winners are true pioneers in reaching their full organizational potential. They deserve the recognition, they deserve the spotlight, and they serve as an inspiration to their colleagues and peers."

The International Prism Award program is an opportunity for organizations in the for-profit, government and nonprofit sectors to celebrate and share their successes with members of the coaching and business communities. Through the nomination process, coaches and coaching sponsors are able to deepen their partnership and articulate what successful organizational coaching looks like.

The 2014 International Prism Award will be presented at a November 2014 ceremony held in Rio de Janeiro during ICF Global 2014—Latin America.

International Prism Award winners receive a customized statue commemorating their organization's achievement in coaching. Honorable mention recipients receive a plaque commemorating their accomplishments. Winners are also granted permission to use the ICF Prism logo for one full year and may include this information in advertisements and other organizational communications.
