International Coach Federation Reveals International Coaching Week 2014 Dates

Professional coaches around the world will celebrate International Coaching Week from May 19 – 25, 2014.

LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — International Coaching Week 2014 (ICW) will take place May 19 – 25, 2014, the International Coach Federation (ICF) has announced. During this weeklong celebration, professional coaches around the world will host events to enable members of their community to experience the proven personal and professional benefits of coaching.

Originally started in 1999 by ICF Member and Master Certified Coach Jerri N. Udelson, ICW is intended to educate the public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process.

"During ICW 2014, ICF Members will donate their time and expertise to increase the visibility, understanding and impact of coaching in their communities," said ICF Global Chair and Master Certified Coach Dr. Damian Goldvarg. "The combined efforts of these coaches will heighten global awareness of the profession and contribute to the flourishing of humanity."

Information about ICW 2014 is housed online at icf.to/icw, where visitors can access an interactive map that will be updated frequently as information about ICW events around the world becomes available. Coaches who visit this page will also be able to access a comprehensive ICW 2014 "Experience Coaching" toolkit, including graphics, resources and templates for planning and promotional materials developed by ICF staff in conjunction with the coaches of ICF Raleigh.

In 2013, ICF Raleigh's ICW celebration gained recognition on the local, county and state levels when its members secured official proclamations from Raleigh's mayor, Durham County's board of commissioners and North Carolina's governor, Pat McCrory. In addition to their public-advocacy efforts, ICF Raleigh Members also organized several events during ICW to promote coaching to the general public and provide professional development opportunities for local coaches. The ICF Charter Chapter was honored for its massive ICW marketing and publicity campaign with a 2013 ICF Breaking Barriers Chapter Award.
