2. Understand your audience – Go where your audience goes, no matter how niche and dated that platform might be. It will still be valuable to connect with your audience this way.

3. Engage, don't sell – Instead of broadcasting marketing campaigns, use social media to have personal interactions that focus on service, rather than only selling.

4. More engagement, less likes – Likes, shares and followers don't necessarily translate into successful marketing. Understand the depth of engagement with your users to determine how valuable those clicks are.

5. Don't damage Vlogger reputations – A partnership with a Vlogger can be beneficial when done right. Vloggers' reputations can be ruined by campaigns, so choose the right tool for the goal of your campaign.

6. Expect more transparency with Vlogger endorsements – There may be a downward trend in Vlogger and brand partnerships. Expect Vloggers to always reveal on their blog that they are being paid for product placement.

7. Add value to the user sharing experience – Instead of disruptive advertising, marketers should discover how to enhance user relationships for a more streamlined, less commercial engagement.

8. Quality over quantity – Social media is technically free, but with content, that isn't always the case. Understand what frequency makes sense for your campaign.

9. Seek out interest-based networks – As a brand, you likely have many different audiences. Engage with different personas by researching interest-based networks and understanding their needs.
