James Malinchak Raises $58,528.00 for LEAP Foundation to Benefit Youth Leadership

LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Business motivational keynote speaker James Malinchak raised more than $58,528.00 to help LEAP, a non-profit education foundation that annually organizes a youth leadership program held at UCLA to help young adults uncover the "real-life" skills needed to achieve great success.

He raised the money during his "James Malinchak 2013 Big Money Speaker Boot Camp" when he and LEAP co-founder Dr. Bill Dorfman described the program and its benefits to more than 600 speakers who attended the sold-out conference to learn how to get highly paid speaking fees from corporations. One anonymous donor contributed $10,000 to LEAP.

"These wonderful speakers opened their hearts and their wallets to help change the lives of hundreds of kids," said Malinchak, who has delivered thousands of motivational keynote speeches to corporations, associations, business groups, colleges and universities and was twice named "College Speaker of the Year."

"I believe we all must help each other, especially the children who will be the future leaders of our world," said Malinchak, who has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities around the world and who was featured on ABC's hit television show, "Secret Millionaire," where he gave more than $100,000 to deserving charities and families in Gary, Indiana.

LEAP's goal is to help young people from around the world find professional and personal success by teaching them real-life keys to success such goal setting, mentorship, self-motivation, professionalism, and effective communication skills. All of these skills are vital to success, yet omitted from traditional educational system.

LEAP hosts two programs during the week-long LEAP Leadership Seminar: The LEAP High School Program (grades 9–12) and The LEAP Young Adult Program (18-24 year olds). Each program has the same core-curriculum. Students learn social and business etiquette, effective communication, how to find a mentor, how to acquire confidence, to set goals, make the most of their high school and college experience, study smarter, identify and create a career plans, network professionally, manage money, and maintain a healthy body and mind.

The LEAP Foundation was formed in 2008 when co-founders, Dr. Bill Dorfman and Steve Anderson, recognized that today's youth are lacking real-life skills and habits needed to achieve personal and professional success.

In honor of LEAP's five-year anniversary, LEAP received a Certificate of Recognition from the State of California in honor of the tremendous impact it has had.
