CHICAGO, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — ExteNet Systems today announced its participation at the 2016 DAS & Small Cells Congress in Las Vegas, a premier annual event for the wireless industry. ExteNet is the leading independent provider of Distributed Networks (DNS) enabling indoor and outdoor wireless connectivity and providing enhanced 3G and 4G LTE network services for wireless carriers and property owners in and around Las Vegas.

On May 16, ExteNet will host a workshop, "Indoor/Outdoor Multi-Use DAS Case Study and Tour — MGM Resorts International and Hospitality" starting at 1 p.m. at the Aria Resort. The workshop is moderated by ExteNet's Tim Ayers, Vice President of Global Services at ExteNet Systems. Panelists include Phil Jachowski, ExteNet's Vice President of Sales, Jim Kimball, MGM's Director of Global Telecommunications and Steve Felker, Commscope's Engineering Manager.

Following the case study of The Park, MGM's new multipurpose oasis, ExteNet will lead a guided tour of the Bellagio Head End facility and The Park DNS, including network and equipment overviews and allocated time for a Q&A session. The tour will culminate at the Beerhaus located at The Park for refreshments and hors d'oeuvre.

On May 18, Tormod Larsen, ExteNet CTO and Vice President of Technology, will join Stéphane Téral, Research Director of Mobile Infrastructure at HIS, to provide his views and thought leadership on 5G and Cellular 2020 infrastructure. The session, slated for 11:45 a.m., includes a deep-dive into the evolution towards 5G, with a focus on drivers and requirements for building the cellular network of the future.

"Las Vegas is the perfect backdrop to talk about leading trends in the wireless industry as its high-end hotels, convention and entertainment venues are setting the pace for adoption of leading-edge wireless technology solutions," said Tim Ayers, Vice President of Global Services at ExteNet Systems. "Our distributed networks in Las Vegas provide a great illustration of the many ways DNS delivers the seamless, pervasive and ultra-high speed wireless experience that luxury travelers demand today. ExteNet has an expansive outdoor cellular and Wi-Fi network powering the Las Vegas Strip and state-of-the-art cellular indoor networks in many of the luxury hotels and entertainment venues along or adjacent to The Strip. One of our newest outdoor networks at The Park ensures high performance, high-speed cellular service across the entire outdoor venue for the thousands of mobile subscribers enjoying the entertainment and dining experiences. Our workshop on Monday afternoon will explore the role of DNS to address network densification issues within the hospitality industry, using The Park as our case study."

In addition to The Park, ExteNet enables enhanced 3G and 4G LTE network service for multiple wireless carriers across 15 square miles of the Vegas Strip and its surrounding areas. ExteNet's extensive network in Vegas also includes outdoor carrier Wi-Fi along the Strip, as well as indoor distributed networks at several prominent casinos and hotels. Wi-Fi service on ExteNet's DNS will be available for free along the Strip to all DAS & Small Cells Congress attendees during the three-day show.
