Kaieteur Records presents Urban/Pop & Songwriter artist Kimik X with his first single "Bug Out" in time for your summer playlist.
Kimik X has an impeccable musical background. Born as Windley Bruce in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York, music surrounded him. His Jamaican father and Bajan mother encouraged his talents at an early age. He credits a hip-hop history class as a life-changing moment. "At the time, I didn't realize that one class would forever influence my life," says Kimik X. He studied a variety of artists from Jay-Z and Nas to Musiq Soulchild and Sade. This blend provides a harmonic foundation for the Kimik X sound.
