Leading Southern California plumbing company will become one of the first in LA to accept the Internet-based currency
LOS ANGELES, May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Ritz Plumbing has announced that it will be accepting Bitcoin, an Internet-based currency, as a form of payment for customer invoices, effective immediately. They will be processing these payments on their WordPress-based website using an interface known as BitPay. They are among the first service industry companies in Los Angeles to accept Bitcoin.
This decision coincides with Bitcoin's emerging popularity as a valid currency, and Ritz's continued rapid expansion across Los Angeles County and the rest of Southern California. As more and more people attempt to use Bitcoin in ecommerce settings, this decision will cater to those customers' needs. The service will be completely free to Ritz customers, and will not require an additional membership or login credentials.
"We've grown to be one of the biggest plumbing companies in Los Angeles, so as we're seeing companies like Overstock.com, and even the F.E.C., put Bitcoin on the table, the timing felt right," said Ray Vandi, Owner of Ritz Plumbing.
