Lawyer Monthly Names The Employment Law Group® Law Firm Labor & Employment Law Firm of the Year for Second Consecutive Year

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The Employment Law Group® law firm was named the 2012 Labor & Employment Law Firm of the Year by Lawyer Monthly, a leading international legal publication. The firm received this year's award after Lawyer Monthly conducted an extensive selection process, including a review of nominated firms' recent activities compared to other law firms, and The Employment Law Group® law firm's work in significant employment cases involving qui tam, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful discharge, Title VII/ADA discrimination, and FMLA actions in both federal and state courts.

Other criteria Lawyer Monthly considered in the awarding process included the degree of recognition each firm held among its peer group, the number of nominations a firm received, and other awards and positive reviews that the firm has received in the past.

"For the second year in a row, we are extremely pleased that the work we do on behalf of whistleblowers has been recognized and affirmed," said R. Scott Oswald, managing principal, The Employment Law Group® law firm. "Whether it's in the courtroom or going before Congress to advocate for better whistleblower rights and protections, this recognition reinforces our efforts to work doggedly for our clients and to continue to expose the injustices perpetrated by some employers."

Lawyer Monthly will notify its readership of more than 50,000 about the award winners in the September 2012 edition of the magazine.  The magazine tracks legal news in a variety of practice areas in jurisdictions around the world
