Local Financial Advisory Firm Welcomes Christina Lindsey Orta

Lindsey and Lindsey Wealth Management Well Positioned for Next Phase of Growth

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, CEO and Founder of Westlake Village, Calif.-based Lindsey and Lindsey Wealth Management, John Lindsey, announced today that Christina Lindsey Orta has joined the firm as Vice President/Financial Advisor.

Christina brings more than 10 years of experience to Lindsey and Lindsey.  Prior to joining the firm, Christina served as Vice President of Sales for Walton International Group, a real estate investment and development firm where she helped the company expand distribution throughout the United States. She also served as a Branch Manager for Countrywide Home Loans, running a nationwide full service home loans branch.

"Christina has a tremendous background in the alternative wholesale space," said John. "She is an expert at presentations and seminars and can help educate our clients on the investment solutions that best fit their needs. In addition, with Christina having earned her FINRA Series 24 license, she brings a whole host of new skills and opportunities to Lindsey and Lindsey."

The Series 24 license gives Christina, and Lindsey and Lindsey by extension, the ability to supervise and manage branch activities. This licensing dovetails with the firm's long-term growth strategy, which includes adding additional talent to the firm and adding multiple offices in the next three years.

When John broke away from Edward Jones, in order to be more independent and establish his own firm, he did so with the idea that Christina would join the family business. However, they both wanted to be sure that she earned her position within the company – it was not to be "a given."

"I was raised that you have to work hard for what you get," said Christina, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. "I don't know that it would have been the best thing for me to be handed a job with my father right out of college. I needed to work for another boss, another corporation, and build my own knowledge base in the industry before I could come to work for the family business and bring all of the best practices."
