Moorstein looks at the moral dangers of seeking immortality
TYSONS CORNER, Va., May 21, 2010 — If each of us could live far past, say, a century, would we? Should we? In "Super-Aging" (published by iUniverse), author Mark Moorstein believes that super-aging has ignited a revolution as more people are surviving longer than ever as they benefit from biotechnology and collective enlightenment, and a major shift in the balance of society can be expected.
"The extension of life beyond a natural period promises not only hope for those with unfinished work, but a source of scientific discovery and economic opportunity," Moorstein said. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mark Moorstein is a practicing trial lawyer, and senior partner in a Northern Virginia law firm. A Princeton and Temple Law graduate, and member of the bars of various courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, he has written many legal and non-legal articles, has argued before the highest courts, lectured and taught. At Princeton, he wrote for Triangle with Scott Berg, Pulitzer Prize writer of "Lindbergh." For a few years he was a local newspaper columnist, writing both political commentary and humor. He has written two novels, "Red Reflections" and "The Perfect President," as well as a study of organizational processes, "Frameworks: Conflict in Balance." He is an instrument-rated pilot, an avid skier, and a photographer. Moorstein is married with two adult children.
