NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 7, 2008 — LWG Consulting, a leading provider of technical expertise regarding equipment and system failures, has announced the sale of their Commercial Salvage division to Thomas L. Reilly & Associates. The management buyout went into effect January 1, 2008. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. For over twenty years, LWG's Commercial Salvage division has assisted corporations in minimizing loss by providing maximum returns on salvaged high-technology equipment.
Robert Wedoff, President of LWG, commented, "We truly feel this buyout will enable LWG to strengthen and invest in our fast-growing Forensic Engineering and Data Recovery divisions, as well as our core Equipment Loss Consulting and Restoration units. The buy-out of the Salvage group allows LWG to focus on addressing the increasingly technical aspects of our business. With that said, we are confident that Thomas L. Tom Reilly, who is currently LWG's Commercial Salvage division head, will manage Thomas L. Reilly & Associates. He comments, "My primary responsibility will be continuing to serve the equipment salvage needs of LWG and its clients in a seamless manner during the brief transitional phase and well into the future." Tom joined LWG in December of 2003, and the success of his Salvage division has served as an integral part in strengthening LWG's presence in the disaster recovery market. Before joining LWG in late 2003, Tom spent over twenty years in the disaster recovery management industry with nine of those years being spent specifically in commercial salvage.
