MedAptus Announces Organizational and Management Changes

Senior Staff Promotions Enhance Implementation Efforts and Market Visibility

BOSTON, Nov. 13, 2008 — MedAptus(R), market leader for charge capture technologies, today announced changes to its senior management team resulting from the promotion of two seasoned employees. These changes largely stem from recent corporate expansion and increased focus on marketing efforts of the company's newer Facility Intelligent Charge Capture offerings.

William Marshall was recently named senior vice president of marketing. Mr. Marshall has over 20 years of experience in both healthcare and technology, including product development and marketing roles at companies such as IDX Systems Corporation, Per-Se Technologies and Avega. A key part of the MedAptus leadership team for over five years as vice president of client services, his contributions include a 20-fold increase in the user base, establishing the company's Customer Advisory Council, as well as ensuring their overall satisfaction as evidenced by stellar industry survey results.

In his new position, Mr. Marshall is responsible for MedAptus' marketing and communications strategy, as well as support for the company's sales department. Under his guidance, MedAptus will aggressively pursue increased penetration in segments beyond the physician group practice market, specifically hospital outpatient clinics and infusion treatment centers.

Concurrent with Mr. Marshall's promotion, Rick Little was named executive director of client services. Mr. Little was one of MedAptus' first employees, having joined as an implementation specialist in 2000, shortly after the company was founded. He spent the next several years creating deployment methodologies, providing leadership for enterprise implementations of Professional Charge Capture in academic settings and contributing to product enhancement processes.

Mr. Little's health information technology background, which spans over 15 years, includes positions at both IDX Systems Corporation and MEDITECH. In his new role he is responsible for the implementation of all MedAptus products, cultivating customer relationships and providing mentorship to implementation project managers in Boston and in the field.

"It was my privilege to promote two very deserving, valuable and passionate individuals. Bill has tremendous customer and product knowledge that will serve our renewed emphasis on marketing well, particularly as we move into new segments. And Rick's front-line implementation know-how is unparalleled – our growing client services team will greatly benefit from his leadership," said Douglas R. Percy, MedAptus president and CEO. "These changes are wholly positive and provide a capstone to a busy year that has included moving into larger office space at our corporate headquarters in Boston, the launching of a new and improved website and continued success with our innovative Infusion Services Edition."
