Planet Fitness locations to waive sign-up fees from May 7-14 when new members make a donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® when they join
TROY, Mich., May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — In honor of Mother's Day, Planet Fitness is sponsoring its fifth annual Mother's Day promotion to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and the media community is rallying to support the cause.

From May 7-14, participating Planet Fitness locations will waive sign-up fees if new members make a donation of $5 or more to BCRF when they join. Planet Fitness memberships are available for only $10 a month or $19.99 a month for the PF Black Card®.
In Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Texas, media vendors have donated over $50,000 worth of air time media space to support the cause and raise awareness of the "Pink" donation event that runs from May 7th-14th. CBS Outdoor donated 15 billboards, worth $30,000; radio stations will be making public service announcements, totaling $10,000; Valassis donated $9,000 in direct mail; Q1, an online advertising vendor, donated 100,000 impressions and eReleases, a leading press release distribution firm, donated their services to help promote the fundraising event.
