The project, which was revealed to the world on March 20th, has already generated significant interest. The team behind the project now seeks to study the feasibility of creating a series of artificial islands off the coast of Israel as a collaborative effort between Arabs and Israelis, with the ultimate goal of bringing both sides together in the spirit of economic cooperation and shared interest.
Special attention will be paid to ensuring zero carbon electricity production and full implementation of environmentally friendly transportation, heating, cooling and water generation. As envisioned, these artificial islands would be a net electricity and water producer and serve to lower costs and alleviate poverty across the region. In addition, by using advanced agricultural techniques, the project aims to provide low cost food to alleviate hunger.
The Menorah Islands Project is actively seeking input on its current plans from experts in their fields. The project seeks advice on current plans, as well as ideas to add to the current plans.
Particularly, the project is looking for actuaries and other finance experts; engineers and construction experts; and environmental scientists. Actuaries are needed to analyze the complete cost of the plan, while engineers could comment on the construction of the artificial islands and environmental scientists could review the project's environmental impact.
