FireScribe users will find that the app has no learning curve. Users start by choosing a background image, then adjusting the image size and adding nighttime effects. Background images can be pulled from the device's gallery, from the user's Facebook account, or simply taken on the spot. The app has built-in tools, such as a dusk slider and a crop tool, to help make the image look ideal. Once the image is finalized, users can type in their custom message, with room for 3 lines of text at 14 characters each; FireScribe even allows for heart and smiley face emoticons. The finished message can be previewed and then sent via an email message, text message, or posted to Facebook or YouTube.
Optimized for iPhone 5, FireScribe takes advantage of Apple's cutting-edge retina display. Finished video greetings consist of a custom message spelled out one letter at a time in flames, complete with sizzling sound effects.
