The mission of this epic night of entertainment is to collect 5,000 pounds of food.
SAN DIEGO, July 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — On the success of last year's Christmas Party having collected 58 lbs. of food while donating 870 meals to the San Diego Food Bank, Outdoor Movie Night For Hunger™ Founder Nate Robinson, a local Realtor who prides himself on caring for the community, has set a goal of epic proportions.

"The mission for this year is: One night, 5,000 lbs. of food," says Robinson.
"Can we get there? Can it be done? Honestly, I don't know," he answers. Then continued, "The only thing that I am certain of is this: without the support of our incredible community, the local businesses, the people and families of San Diego, it can't be done. We will never even come close, but if we ban together, I know we can do it. I think on August 9, you are going to see the pride and strength of our community."
Nate has seen firsthand the need in the community and knows well that one person can make a difference in a community. Many people working together as a team to achieve a common goal can create a Movement.
As a part of Nate Robinson's fight against hunger, The San Diego Food Bank will be this year's recipient of all food collected from the event. According to Robin Skale of the San Diego Food Bank, "Hunger is not an issue that we have only during the holidays, but it is a year-round task that must be resolved."
Outdoor Movie Night For Hunger™ is a free event, with one exception. Those who plan to attend are asked to donate one non-perishable food items as the admission. A small price for what is certain to be an epic night of family fun. Since the first event to raise food for the food bank in 2013, Nate Robinson has given countless hours of service to his community but inspired many to join the movement that will continue to grow and become one of San Diego's great traditions!
