Two North Carolina Startups, One Colorado Startup Compete on National Radio Pitch Competition

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Dream Big America (www.DreamBigAmerica.us), powered by Sprint (www.Sprint.com), announced today the three new startups competing on this week's show. The three startups that pitched their business to the Dream Big America live listening audience this morning were Plum Print, MusicBox, and WUF.

The spokesperson for each of these early-stage companies gave a two-minute pitch of their business concept to the national Dream Big America listening audience beginning at 9:10am ET. The Dream Big America show is broadcasted weekly on the Doug Stephan Good Day Show (www.DougStephan.com) and through a live audio stream on www.DreamBigAmerica.us. Plum Print (www.PlumPrint.com), based in Asheville, North Carolina, was founded by Meg Ragland. Plum Print transforms overwhelming piles of kids' artwork into digital archives and prints elegant coffee-table books.

MusicBox (www.MyMusicBox.me) curates the best, undiscovered music in the world, customizes it for every single listener's personal preferences, and conveniently delivers it directly to users on their personal MusicBox page. This website was co-founded by Michael Hoy and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

WUF (www.getWUF.com) is a smart-collar device for a dog. With two-way audio, GPS & Gamification, WUF's goal is to make training and maintaining a happy and healthy dog easier than ever before. WUF was founded by Sean Kelly and is based in Boulder, Colorado.

The voting period ends Wednesday, December 17th at 5 P.M. Eastern Time. The startup that receives the highest number of votes will be announced during next Friday's show, and will advance to the Finals Round on December 26th to compete against the other weekly winners of December's competition. Last week, BioUrn, presented by Lisa Brambila, received the highest number of votes and will continue on to the Finals Round.
