Fearless rock climber's charity will be introduced August 29th at Gear Co-op in Costa Mesa, California
COSTA MESA, Calif., Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Legendary Rock Climber Alex Honnold will be introducing his charity, the Honnold Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people live better, simply –using clean & accessible energy, August 29th at Gear Co-op. The event will include a bouldering competition, live auction, live music, poster signing, and an awe-inspiring slideshow of Alex climbing sheer, vertical walls using absurdly small holds and virtually no safety equipment.

Alex Honnold is best known for free soloing (no ropes, harness, or protective gear) terrifying routes, and crushing speed climbing records in Yosemite. One of his most impressive achievements to date was soloing the "Triple Crown" – El Cap, Watkins, and Half Dome in under 19 hours – a truly incredible feat.
Alex's ability to climb hard, fast, and fearlessly has landed him on 60 minutes as well as the cover of National Geographic Magazine. This fall, he will climb one of the tallest buildings in the world on live television.
