OnlineSchoolsCenter.com Releases 2014 List of the 50 Most Haunted Places on College Campuses

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 22., 2014 /PRNewswire/ — OnlineSchoolsCenter.com has released its list of the 50 Most Haunted Colleges and Campuses just in time for Halloween. From campuses built atop ancient burial grounds to hangings, murders and mysterious deaths said to have occurred within the walls of these institutions, eerie sightings and ghostly encounters get reported year after year.

Many of the "haunted" colleges on the list host apparition tours and paranormal outings embracing the history of its past residents' ghostly presences via creaking the floorboards and tapping shoulders of the unsuspecting. For example, at Illinois State University, you may encounter the librarian, "Aunt Ange" who died while sorting through a collection of literature, hushing visitors and moving books around.  At the University of Notre Dame's Indiana campus, you may get a visit from "The Gipper", a noted Notre Dame football superstar who died from pneumonia in 1920, and who haunts Washington Hall, his old residence.
