New web open standard engages service providers and patients worldwide
SAN FRANCISCO, April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Ondello announced today that one of the world's leading wellness brands – the Ornish Spectrum – would be adopting the Ondello communication platform as a key component in their evolving digital platform strategy. Ornish Spectrum will leverage new capabilities available in web browsers as part of the HTML5 standard called WebRTC (real time communications) to further engage their certified practitioners, enrolled participants and others around the globe.
Ondello is a business communications platform, which uses capabilities available in the emerging WebRTC standard to seamlessly connect business users. Ondello is a SaaS application with a comprehensive API designed to be easily integrated into enterprise applications. The Ornish Spectrum will be using the Ondello API and capabilities to create a seamless communication experience for users of their digital platform, which includes a private portal for enrolled participants and certified providers.

WebRTC is a new open standards technology with the backing of Google, Mozilla and Opera. It emerged as part of the HTML5 WC3 and IETF standard after Google acquired two companies (GIPS and On2) and decided to make their technology available to the open source community.
