Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor Appoints National Campaign Executive Director

HONOLULU, Nov. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor today announced the appointment of Elissa Lines as National Campaign Executive Director to lead a nationwide campaign to secure financial support for the Museum's expansion. The Museum's master plan calls for the restoration of two additional historic hangars on Ford Island, aircraft acquisition, and significant exhibit preparation to portray the important contribution of aviation in the Pacific region.

Elissa Lines has been a part of the leadership team for the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for nearly 10 years, leading their donor and business relationship outreach. Prior to that, she was affiliated with both the Seattle Museum of Flight and the Pima Air & Space Museum, leaving her mark at all three entities — new programs, increased revenue, and greater impact for both the local and the national audiences that benefit from these programs.

"We are excited to welcome Elissa to Honolulu and to the Museum's team," commented Clint Churchill, president of the Museum's Board of Directors. "The Museum is a national and international-level project that will require a significant expansion of our community of supporters and believers; we feel that, with Elissa's record, the Museum will gain a significant boost toward reaching our funding and expansion goals."

"I am excited to work side-by-side with those whose efforts will honor the men and women who served in the Pacific," Ms. Lines stated. "My father fought in the Battle of Midway and also served at Guadalcanal. For many of us, the service of our parents went unnoticed during their lifetimes. We did not get a chance to talk about the history or honor their legacy – they were quiet about their contribution to our free society. Working to complete the vision of Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor has a very special significance to me and my family."
