Pastor Creates Essential Fishing Tool Blessed with "Patented" Good Looks

Crowdfunding campaign kicks off product launch to raise funds for CO2 Laser

WAUKEE, Iowa, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Cutler Brothers Woodworking is using Kickstarter, the popular crowdfunding site, to introduce and initially sell Ol' Watosh's Fish Club®:  an essential fishing tool traditionally used to subdue the "catch of the day" before it becomes the "meal of the day." The Fish Club is also a piece of art so unique it was granted a US patent (Serial No: 29/484,020) for its natural design.  The Fish Club is fundamentally "functional art."

Imagine a tangible memento of that family vacation at the lake or the unforgettable fishing trip with your friends.  Something you could admire on your credenza while in your office, or showcased on your hearth at home.  Beautiful art, a conversation piece, an essential fishing tool, and a lethal weapon, that's the Fish Club!

Patent holder, creator and pastor, Jamie Cutler says "The Fish Club is a centuries-old fishing tool I've redesigned with artistic appeal by carefully crafting it to retain as much of its natural beauty as possible.  Bumps, bark, knots, and natural markings are not just left alone – they're showcased."  Except for the lathed handle and barrel end, special care is taken to leave the natural Minnesota Birch branch timber as untouched as possible.

Personalization makes the Fish Club even more unique.  There's a model for every fish and fisherman and you can have a specific species name lasered on your club's handle.  The Walleye Whacker, Pike Pounder™, Bass Beheader™, Crappie Crusher™, Catfish Cold-Cocker™, and Panfish Pancaker™ (for the little tykes!) are all available and suitable for collecting.   One Kickstarter backer explained she wants the Bass Beheader because it reminds her of when her Dad took her bass fishing.

Cutler Bros. Woodworking will use the laser to burn their trademarked model names into the clubs as well as provide personalization of Fish Clubs with, as Cutler explains, "something that expresses your passion, identity, business, cause, flaws, or whatever!  Personalizing our client's club is something we want to offer in-house. Outside engraving shops are not cost-effective."   An in-house laser would provide personalization services to individuals, resorts, tackle shops, gift shops, and retailers as well.
